Bristol Karate Academy

We were delighted to welcome Steve Carless Sensei (6th Dan JKS) to Bristol Karate Academy once again on 23rd March for our Spring seminar and grading event.

Steve Sensei has become a regular visitor to the dojo, with this being his fourth time teaching for us in four years, including a special online seminar in the Spring of 2021. Each time, he brings something new to his sessions – and often something to test everyone and keep karate feeling fresh for even the most experienced karate-ka.

In all, we were delighted to have 60 people take part in the two classes, making the most of a fantastic opportunity to train with such an experienced sensei.

In the grading, Steve Sensei was pleased with the overall standard, as were the Academy instructors. With 49 people grading on the day and a further dozen taking their mon gradings just days earlier, March was a successful month for many of you – well done!

Our next special seminar is on Saturday 13th July and we look forward to announcing our guest instructor shortly!
