COVID RULE UPDATE

On Thursday 24th February, government-imposed COVID rules in England changed once again with individual clubs, organisations and businesses left to determine how they deal with COVID in their own setting.

Here’s an update to the much simplified rules for those attending a Bristol Karate Academy dojo. The rules will next be reviewed on 1st April:
  • Do not attend if you have COVID symptoms or have tested positive: Please do not come to karate if you have COVID symptoms and have tested positive on either a lateral flow or PCR COVID test. Allow at least five full days before returning (starting from the day after you test).
  • Please wear a mask when you enter, leave or spectate: Spectators that wear a face covering are welcome to watch classes. Face coverings should cover your nose and mouth.
  • Sanitiser will be available until our supply runs out:  Once our supply goes we’ll no longer replace it, unless circumstances change significantly.
  • There’s no change to how you book classes: We cap the numbers of people training in our classes, regardless of COVID, to make sure they’re not oversubscribed. Monthly members can book 14 days in advance, while ‘pay as you go’ members can book any remaining spaces up to 7 days in advance.

We believe we continue to offer a balanced approach: offering all of us a chance to enjoy our training with prudent but reasonable safeguards in place. If you have any questions or concerns then please feel free to get in touch.

See you in the dojo.
